Jews have been involved with chocolate since the 16th century. Both Sephardic & Ashkenazi Jews in North & South America, the Caribbean, Europe & modern Israel have participated in the chocolate trade as well as being inventors of new products. This PowerPoint lecture, led by Dr. Eric Steckler will tell their story- both the sweet as well as the bitter.
Historic Jewish chocolate desserts such as Sachertorte, Chocolate Rugalach, Charles Chocolates, and MORE will be available to sample following the presentation!
