Whether you live alone or are currently married/partnered, the best time to ensure you have everything in place for a successful aging process is when you don't yet need the services and accommodations you might need in the future. So join Cantor Pamela Siskin and Alison Solomon, LCSW for a two-part workshop entitled Aging Alone Together. We'll have presentations, a panel, breakout discussion groups and plenty of time to schmooze over lunch.

A social worker and psychotherapist by profession, Alison Solomon has worked extensively in the Jewish community, both as a clinical director and consultant for several Jewish Family Services agencies and as a lay leader for a Jewish congregation in Mexico. She has taught graduate psychology and been published in numerous professional texts. Her specialties include older adult mental health, trauma, and the LGBTQ community. She is also the author of four suspense novels.

Cantor Pamela Siskin was born in London and studied music at Trinity College in London, and opera at The London Opera Studio, attached to The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in England. Siskin became a student at the Hebrew Union College in New York City, earning a Master’s degree in Sacred Music and became an ordained cantor in 1989. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Hebrew Union College in 2014. During her studies she served student pulpits in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, as well as at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She remained at Temple Ner Tamid for twelve years, serving as /Educator for seven of those years, before joining Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford, Connecticut, where she served as a Cantor/Pastoral Leader and ‘Life Long Learning’ Director for eighteen years . Siskin and her husband, Jerry, relocated to St. Petersburg in 2016.
